  Re: Autonomous Robot

(...) Yep - that would work - but we don't have an omni-directional sensor. I guess a conical diffuser with a regular lego sensor pointing straight upwards would work OK though. (...) Yes - I wanted to avoid having to continually distract the robot (...) (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: REPLYTO field.

<SNIP> (...) Why not turn a news reader to lugnet.com instead? I found it more efficient then this e-mail thingie. For more info: (URL) is a bunch of news-groups (including local groups and a Technic group) and a lot of info that never reaches this (...) (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Partial list of parts for 2000-02 Update

(...) I think 32184 should not be name Technic Axle Joiner Perpendicular Double to avoid confusion with 32291 Technic Axle Joiner Perpendicular w/ Double Peghole. I suggest "Technic Axle Joiner Perpendicular 3L" Marc Klein A Mindstorms fan. (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Knight's Kingdom Set 4807

The thing that strikes me as odd about 4807 is that it is the only Knights' Kingdom set with the spoked cart wheels, all the others (that have wheels at all) have the big chunky "barbarians making do with what they can hack out of the woods" type. (...) (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.castle)

HEAR HEAR!!!!!! I couldn't agree more Dierdre, this is the kind of thing that really gets my hackles up. Put it this way, if Mindstorms is perhaps the kind of thing that parents would usually not consider for a girl ( speaking of the "average" (...)   Re: A field arrangement Question!

(...) Not a Soccer set but there are 2 of these green 4*12 brick plates in Knights' Kingdom 6095 Royal Joust. Mind you at ~$42 (Aus) this set is hardly worth it just for those, but if you happened to be interested in it anyway it would do the trick. (...)
