  Re: automating switching rails

Dan Boger and I have been working on automating some of the points on the WAMALUG layout. We came up with one nifty solution that doesn't require modification to the points nor high torque motors. Our system uses micromotors and rubber bands to turn (...) (25 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LEGO Direct catalogs in Canada?

(...) Just a minor nitpick, but if you're going to speak up in defense of Canada, you could at least do us the courtesy of capitalizing, neh? <xf-ut: off-topic.debate> James (URL) getting paid for this --> alladvantage.com Sign up via me, the (...)   Re: Things for the next part update

(...) The FAQ ((URL) shows uppercase syntax, e.g.: <QUOTE-BEGIN> Step meta-command. Marks the end of a building step. Line format: 0 STEP This command will cause LDraw to stop until you press <enter>, and it will cause LDraw to save the current (...) (25 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Actually, I think it would be much less flexible if all cases were accepted for meta commands. That would seriously limit the kinds of comments one could write in a DAT file! Fredrik (25 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Scans of 1960's ads

(...) Thanks Tore! I had your old site in my bookmarks, so now this is replacing it. One of the things I like about these old ads from Sweden is that they show dates at the bottom (2 of 3 do). One of the things I don't like about early LEGO (...) (25 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.general)

  small sets at CVS pharmacy

While browsing through the half-price Easter candy (I'm such a kid in some respects) at a CVS Pharmacy in Franklin, TN, I found two small sets: 1095 Super Sub (21 pcs) 1070 Stunt Flyer (19 pcs) They're overpriced by a dollar at $2.99, but I was (...) I would like to add that although there are some small ZNAP intro sets, you might get the wrong impression of what ZNAP is all about if that's all you see. There is quite a diversity of pieces and I don't know how many show up in a small set. JB (25 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics)

light green palm trees, flowers & plants

I just got a bunch of Palm Trees (old articulated style) 3-leaf plants and flower stems in the lighter green, like the plate Luke is standing on in the SW set. Has anybody else seen these? This is the first time I have ever seen a second color of (...) (25 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.belville)
