It really depends on the bank and your credit. I have two accounts at different banks. At Canada Trust, they want to hold US cheques for 30 business days -- that's nearly a month and a half when you factor in weekends and the odd holiday. This even (...) (26 years ago, 25-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.ca)
