  Re: Fire Dept. Site updated

(...) Nice. I'd like that many 2x2 windows! And, people here should note that you have to right click and go to view image to see the images full size, about twice what is shown on the page.   Re: Legoville...

(...) Sounds like a fun building challenge. I have never attempted a Lego washing machine. Other quick ideas I have are: - electronics store - small post office - small bank - bakery - hat store - police substation - subway entrance - a run-down (...) (25 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: Future of LEGO Trains ? was Re: Model Railroad Scenery

Good points...going from 700 to 1200 pieces would be 500 piece increase, or $57.50 increase based on an 11.5¢ per piece estimate. Which would be right around $200. But $200 is alot of money, and many people already balk at the $150 price tag. If it (...) (25 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Arch question...

(...) You wouldn't wanna part with two of those arches, would you? Name your trade. My collection is 90% castle with a little space, pirates, and town. So, what's your price? Bill (25 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Legoville...

Yes, one just opened here in Charlotte, at 'Concord Mills Mall'. It's even larger than the one in Atlanta. I've shuffled things around and I have decided to convert the 'General Store' (the one from the Wild West set) to the 'Outdoor World'. Now all (...) (25 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: set 1271 Jungle Surprise

(...) I'm guessing this is Adventurers set then? What copyright date is shown on the box? 2000 or 1999? Is the treasure piece really silver colored or is it gold colored? Is it the traditional Amazon-Adventurers medallion? Female fig in a $2.99 (...) (25 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.admin.database, lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: My EMD SD40-2

(...) snip the rest of the answer Thanks, I was basing my guess on the slang blower = supercharger; I couldn't remember if the SD40-2 were turbo/supercharged. No need to answer that one I can look it up when I get home. I have to laugh...what is a (...) (25 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Website update: Moonbase Io

Todd, I really like the look of these new ships. They have a very unique shape and color scheme. Your designs are really starting to fill out while maintaining compactness. The best of the bunch in my opinion are the Skyfox and the Osprey. The two (...) (25 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Trip to Bay Area

(...) There are a couple of meetings in earlier March, but I am sure that people wouldn't mind getting together to meet an out of towner. Of course, I am technically an out of towner, being in Fresno. What brings you to the Bay? Mike Poindexter (25 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.org.us.baylug)

  Re: My EMD SD40-2

(...) No, the blower is a massive device that provides air, via ducting, to the traction motors to keep them cool. The ducting can be rather elaborate, since the motors are mounted on the trucks (side hung and connected via gears to their drive (...) (25 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Future of LEGO Trains ? was Re: Model Railroad Scenery

(...) Actually, it is both worse and better than that. Going 8 wide means going longer, too. That means that trains will be 78% larger, assuming that height remains the same. I would figure that it would be about twice as big as a 6 wide train. (...) (25 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

Or, even better, I could make a total 'Outdoor Store' that combines Diving, Outback, Arctic, and Extreme Team into one! It will give me the chance to use that one sticker I have in the Idea Book from 1997! (25 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)
