Hi guys,

Decided to have a play with a NedTrain 700 class as I liked the colours and loved the device on the front. I took a little artistic license with the side doors to make them a bit more clear and also had to change the green on the exhause pipe to lime as I don’t have any 1x1 rounds in green.

Comments and crits welcome.

Looks very good! ...for a train ; ) the angles and colours are both very well chosen and the overall effect is very pleasing on the eye!

God Bless,

Nathan

Now is this a 6 wide or 8 wide... ; )

Definitely a 6 ;) I think its maximum width is probably a bit over 7 studs at the top of the siderails.

Also... I forgot to link in the first post to the prototype.

I can’t believe you used bley on that one. It totally clashes with all the warm colors.

I think you should have used dark green... I’m glad you got it built after I distracted you. I’m not 100% convinced by some of the details, but its still so much better than I could could do I’m not going to complain. The slopes to give detail to the sides of the hoods is a clever idea, especially for a colour with a limited parts range. If only those little slopes didn’t have such rounded corners

Hey, Tim. Great loco! The lime color scheme is very nice. My only complaint would be the lime slopes. It looks, to me, from the prototype, that the sides are flat. Would it be possible to use tiles instead? Or are you just trying to show off you collection a little? ;) Anyways, good work. -Matt
