Na... Steam is pretty old hat. Clearly what's needed are good electric locos.
This *isn't* a good one,the body is (by *far*) not my best work but I wanted to
show off a little articulation in the frame. So the NEED for good electric locos
is still out there.
The articulation is nothing fancy, just a single pivot point midway between the
inner rod connected driver center and the non rod connected driver which is two
2x2 turntables. Some interleaving of the plates and tiles lets the frane look
pretty solid, and it took some fiddling for everything to move freely but it's
not any big deal.
I considered using a middle axle that was free to move sideways but I had bad
results with switchpoints when I did that. This tracks nicely through switches
with no problems

Enjoy.
So that's 2 MOCs I've posted already using these wheels... and I only got 6
wheels. The GMLTC got shedfuls and so far we have how many on display from them?
:-)
(all in good fun, people. I was just itching to get something created with these
so I've been going for quantity not quality...)
PS, Rob, someone mailed me their pics of a 36 axle Schnabel, you better get
busy.

| Hello Larry, You didn't get many postings in response to your pics on brickshelf yet, but I have to say, I like these models. Yes, I agree, the electric loco body looks a bit like version 0.x ;-). I think most of that is due to the garden fence (...) (21 years ago, 13-Nov-03, to lugnet.trains)
