Set: 7035 Police HQ
Pieces: 418
Price: $50

Main Model:
The main model is very dark, futuristic looking police station.

I would say that this is the most "futuristic" town set that LEGO has ever
produced.

The ground floor entrance is made up of 2 1x4x6 black framed doors with
gray/trans-black inserts.

The lobby is barren, but there is a 1x4x3 trans-black window looking into it
from a room next door.  This room has a control panel by the window
(presumably for security purposes) as well as a vault (the standard mail-box
part with a sticker) that contains some gold bars (presumably this is
evidence or something?  - Anyhow, the bars are actually a bronze/gold color,
which is cool).

To the right of this security room is a gated garage.

On the second floor, there is an office with a cool computer terminal.  A
door leads out to a balcony.  To the right is the prisoner cell.  Compared
to all the previous LEGO police sets that come to mind, this cell is larger
and more detailed.  It contains a bed and small bench, and is actually
closed in on all 4 sides.  The side nearest the balcony has a security pad
and is presumably the "door."  The back looks like a regular wall, but can
be removed.

On the roof of the prisoner cell, there is a cool "fan" piece (that looks
like it came from a Jack Stone airplane maybe) as well as various radar
antennas.

On the third floor is a lab that includes a fingerprint analysis machine,
and a video camera.

The set contains 4 minifigs, with the police sporting dark-blue uniforms.
The prisoner is wearing orange with a cool new dark-gray stocking cap.

The set comes with a police van that is fairly streamlined looking, but
almost looks excessively compressed in the vertical direction.

The set also includes another vehicle, which looks like a very futuristic
armored police car.  The car has no windows, but the control panel includes
a video screen (looks similar to the old classic space screen, but has been
updated).

Alternate Models:  The alternate models for this set are decent (there are
2), but not quite as good as the similar set, Grand Central Station (4513).

Value:  The value of this set is pretty decent, especially considering the
inclusion of some of the larger window/door parts, that tend to be
expensive.

Overall: This is a pretty cool set with a nice look to it and pretty good
parts.  I give it a 7/10.

Parts of Interest:

4 4x4x6 trans-black curved panels - The reason I bought the set.
7 1x2x5 trans-black bricks
3 1x4x6 black door frames with gray/trans-black doors
1 1x4x3 trans-black panel
7 1x2x3 white inverse slopes
5 1x2x3 white slopes
2 1x6x6 gray slopes
1 "jack stone" fan piece
Some very cool stickers
Nice computer pieces

A very detailed review. My question is the same as in the Grand Central Station. In the middle, in between the front doors and the opening below the jail, there are those thin windows. Are they 2x6 or 1x6 Panes. This picture from the German catalog (...) (21 years ago, 7-Aug-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.reviews)
