I assume that by 'Super Car' you mean the new one <set:8448>. The old
<set:8880> is a must have and I consider it to be in the top 3 sets of all
times.
Even the <set:8448> is a great set in my opinion.
"basic suspension, engine, steering combo" is a poor description of the Street
Sensation. It has a *great* gear box and I like it's modularity concept very
much. It also has suspension on the steering wheels - I think anyone who tried
to implement that knows it isn't simple at all.
Perhaps you were referring to the <set:8445> ?

I think the 'Super Car' line that has already seen 5 cars can be taken another
step forward. Many features haven't been implemented yet:
1) Differential lock (Shouldn't be so hard)
2) Hand brake (also easy)
3) Regular brakes (a bit harder)
4) Clutch (And I don't mean the white gear)
5) Any more ideas?
I also would love to see a bigger motorcycle set (bigger than <set:8417> &
<set:8422>) with a leg operated gear box (I thought about it and I don't know
how to make one with more than 2 different gear ratios) and hand operated
brakes (that really work)
I know I'm not being very original (another car? another motorcycle?),
just to add two more newer ideas, I think a clock set is already called for
(not my idea) and I'd also like to see a sewing machine set (dream on...)

| (...) I've done a clutch, but it ate LOTS of power, and didn't work all that well. Brakes would be nice. A hand brake is probably doable in the current supercar (I haven't tried). Foot brakes would need something like flex system to activate. Even (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

| (...) I've done many of those functions with my McLaren F1 MOC... 1. It uses the white clutch gear for a limited-slip differential. 2. 1st gear acts as the hand brake for now :) . 3. It has inboard brakes for the rear... Couldn't find room for (...) (24 years ago, 30-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

| (...) I agree with your opinion. I love 8448 and I bought it because I had missed out on 8880. At the time too I didn't realize that Lego had done a gear box before and was absolutely enthralled by its construction. But even with 8448, for all its (...)
