... the matching truck is ready!

Just finished work on my newest project and the corresponding internet page: http://www.engineeringwithabs.ch/t282.htm

With 360 short tons payload capacity, the Liebherr T 282 belongs to the worlds largest mining trucks. My model is in scale 1 / 50 and therefore comes close to minifig scale.

It features:

-> electric drive on rear axle

-> pneumatic steering

-> pneumatic dumping

and it is all remote controlled via a hand held control pad.

Additional features are dual parallel control arm suspension on the front wheels and rigid axle rear suspension.

The details of the real truck are not missing on my model as well. These include an engine mockup, air filters, access ladders, railings, fuel tanks, headlights and much more.

Read the whole story on my homepage!

PS. The pics were taken in a nearby quary on ascension - today it’s rainy weather.

Hi Beat, Very nice model and very well photography! This truck is in its element in the quary. Do you have more than one copy of the backhoe loader or did you order some extra yellow hubs? I like the shape of the tipper body. Most times you start (...) (20 years ago, 30-May-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam, FTX)
