That is new, and it is common in the Rockraiders sets. It appears to be two
2x6 plates forming a cross merged with a 4x4 Disc. ;)

Which picture do you mean? The angle is bad on the Box scan, but once I knew
what to look for, I saw it.

| (...) Yup. You can see it fairly well in 4980 Tunnel Transport (the helicopter-like thing). It's using them for 'feet' on the four landing struts.
