I didn’t see it as all that fat...maybe a little husky, but not fat. I guess when I sought to merge the two styles, I imagined Lo Pan basically eating and then becoming part Jiao-zhan Dou. Your twisted mind comes up with a pregnancy theory...weirdo.

And this ‘space-ship cannibalism’ theory of yours, isn’t wierd? --CAUTION: pun approaching-- I think my mind is not so much ‘twisted’ as ‘fertile’(1) ;-)

I like armor. Armor is teh w1nz.

Um, could you help an old guy out here? My dictionary was published before you were born. What is’teh w1nz’? I have a basic idea from the context, but I like to know the etymology if I can.

The only thing that gets to me, (and it’s not just this ship) is those 4x cones used as engines. They just have an unfinished look to them. I’ve used them myself and didn’t like the look much. Not sure what to do about them... Back to the lab...

I like the look of old-school rocket engine nozzle/thrusters. If I cluttered the cone up with extra pieces, it just wouldn’t look/feel the same way to me. I promised someone on FBTB some pics with maybe dishes or something on the cones to greeble them out, so be sure to check the gallery later today!

If I may respond here to this post too. I think my problem is actually a shortcoming of the medium; the part has a somewhat ‘open’ almost ‘juniorized’ feel to it, when the ‘bottom’ is exposed. I do like your 3rd verion although I’d suggest cones instead, but I like the 1st one the most. It has a double bilateral symmetry that really works with the engine compartment. Of course, we’re really in tthe ‘personal taste’ department here, and I don’t see your choice as detracting from the ship in any meaningful way.

Thank you for trying out ideas and posting them; we all gain by this sort of sharing.

Peace and engine variations,

Professor Whateverly

(1) And, I haven’t ruled out the possibility that this is due to a high proportion of BS. (no, not BrickShelf...)
