Hi all,

Just wanted to share my latest creation, an Orion-Class Cruiser dubbed the
"Mintaka."

A Terran ship, it uses space-warping propulsion technology, but has an extremely
compact and efficient engine design.  The rear half of the nacelles and the
support struts comprise the fuel flow/engine systems, while the front half
houses the ship's weapon systems.  Each nacelle contains two Plasma-cocooning
torpedo launchers (allowing small, space-efficient torpedoes to be more
destructive) and two directed-energy cannons.

The navigator has the ability to reroute all ship systems to the forward
cockpit, allowing for a one-person crew in a pinch.  The normal weapons control
officers are stationed where the blisters are on the side of the ship.  The
captain is in the center of the main control area, and engineering is in the
narrow aft section of the ship.  At the very rear of the ship is the commode.
The Mintaka is also equipped with a (somewhat temperamental)transporter system
and a small area for a crew member to relax and grab a bite to eat from the food
resequencer.  As the directed-energy system has not yet been refined to a
portable size, the crew utilizes old style projectile weapons where personal
weaponry is required.

(...) -snip- Stefan, This is a good start for a large fighter/bomber craft. I really like your creative use of canopies, and how they add to the curvature of the craft as a whole. the best thing i could recommend would be to work the rest of the (...)
