Can't see the video, too difficult to get at the raw URL
behind all that Javascriptery.

Give Firefox a try!

I have, and at work I would still use it if IT would allow it
(they block all browsers except IE, which is broken w.r.t. CSS).
But at home I prefer Mozilla as Firefox has some annoying differences,
e.g. when I tried I couldn't completely get rid of those pesky tabs.
Anyway, here the main problem is that the video is embedded in the page,
and there is no simple link to access it, as there should be.

'Should' is subjective here. I made that little video; I get to decide how it's
presented. :)
I am surprised that you talk about Javascript problems - even Mozilla should be
able to access the video on that page just fine. What browser and version are
you having trouble seeing the video with, on what operating system?

As a matter of fact, I can't see the video by myself, using Mozilla
1.7.13 on Linux (didn't work with konqueror or Cross Office also);
apparently, there is no Mozilla quicktime plugin for Linux available
presently (is it?).

Well, I'd prefer a simple link to the video here also, but as you
correctly stated, it's completely your decision how to present it.
It's a simple provider-consumer thing, I guess: you decide how many
people will be able to see your works and how many won't be - it's the
internet surfer's decision how much effort he is willing to spend for
watching it (as for me, when encountering pages with embedded content, I
try it once - if it doesn't work and I don't find a decent plug-in with
a reasonable effort, I leave, never to come back there).
After all, really should have liked to see it.

Matthias Paul

sure, but I get to make bad jokes about abba being fish in revenge ...

Provided it has a plugin for videos, which mine doesn't have
(and that won't change).
The problem with your JavaScript is that it obfuscates the link to the video
too much (in other cases I can often get it by looking at the source).
