Dear LEGO: Pirate wish list —Steve Campbell
Pirate-heads! Get out yer brains mateys! I'm composing a Dear LEGO letter to be posted in .dear-lego based on my own post of 12 Nov., 1999. I'm including these: 6299 A 16-wide white/blue three-center four-gun two/three-mast Spanish Armada Galleon (...) (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Dear LEGO: Pirate wish list —Ben Kroll
(...) Speaking of Imperial trading Post cutters, I personally think that two or three different small ships like these (as opposed to ships built with hull pieces) would make excellent low-end stand-alone sets if TLG ever brings the pirate theme (...)      (...) three (...) Yes, it was a pity that the Trading Post cutter, or something similiar, was never offered as a seperate model. The closest was the Castles line Sea Serpent. I've had a lot of fun putting my own together - I'll have to get a picture (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.pirates)

Bugger the Armada, they're really only there for target practice aren't they? (hee hee) (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.pirates)

          Re: BIG hulls —Richard Parsons
Jonathan Wilson wrote (...) I eman LARGER ;-) The BSB is 16 wide, and yes you got it, I'd like 24. As I have posted before, I can't find a way to make a good looking ship larger than three decks and four midsections, and the problem is the width. At (...)           Re: Dear LEGO: Pirate wish list —Lindsay Frederick Braun
(...) Oooh, much larger. For a ship at half-scale the size of Victory, though, you'd need a hull about 32-36 studs wide...you might be able to put together a good brigantine or small frigate at 24 studs. ;) LFB. (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.pirates)

(...) Where?!? I'm dying to find one! I love those 10-wide hulls--I've never had any, and 6560 always looked like a great set. LFB. (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Dear LEGO: Pirate wish list —Frank Filz
(...) One of our KB Toys has a bunch of these. One thing I'd be more than willing to do is pick some of these up in trade for 5561s which our KB Toys don't seem to have. Another decent source of 10 wide hill bits is 5976 River Expedition. If you (...) (25 years ago, 17-Nov-99, to lugnet.pirates)
