| | | | | Hi all!
Since it has been over 6 months someone posted in this newsgroup, I thought I'd
give it a shot :-) (maybe everyone went underground and I've missed it...)
Here's a moc I made for a contest I host. You have to make a moc within 16
studs, maximum height is 20 bricks.
You can see it here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=126863
It's about two girls having a picknick, Cupid behind the bushes and a
prince-wannabe frog having a really bad day...
Bye!

Hey, nice job. Love the tree and the depth you gave the whole thing by building
it up so the bridge could cross it.
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Hi Saskia,
Your model is really well done! I love the minimalist ducks!
I'm making a Gazebo as a wedding cake topper. I'll post pictures as soon as I
can...
Thanks for 'sharing chocolate' with us!

Using your Jack Skellington tux as a model?

Hi Teddy!
No, though that would be cool! As is is, I'm going to have to paint goatees on
plain minifig faces to make the grooms. All the ones I could find with goatees
had 'anrgy eyes,' grimaces, snarls, or too much stubble!
I've got the pictures uploaded, and should be making a new thread in the next
few minutes...

Hey, thats pretty great! I love the density of the scene; it has a ton of
detail without being overcrowded. I cant quite make out one part on my
monitor--is that a crown next to Prince Frog?
Nice MOC!
Dave!
Hey, thats a nice hammer youve got there, buddy.

Yes it is :-)
It's the frog who has to be kissed by a girl to become a prince again.
That won't happen, so he's having a bad day ;-)

Saskia,
I really like the ducks - great use of those old homemaker hands. The amount of
detail packed into this is beautiful too. Very impressed.

Hi Saskia-
great work, so evocative. It's amazing how much detail you were able to put into
such a small space- I love the bikes on the bridge, the overfilled picnic
basket, and the other details others have mentioned (the ducks, the trees and
plant life, the bridge itself). Thanks for sharing it, and thanks also for
posting it here.

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Wonderful work, Saskia! Do you mind if I use this example at my church camp?
Im doing a workshop on Lego storytelling, and I have some nice examples of
comic strip type stories (like the Revs Brick Testament), but nothing that so
neatly tells a story in just one picture.
And before anyone asks, What kind of church camp has a Lego storytelling
workshop with an Eve and Eve? Ill tell you. Unitarian Universalist church
camp. Fabulous. Check out http://www.suusi.org. Those of you in the
Southeast should check it out. Last year I did a Lego geometry workshop, and it
led to a Lego explosion in my mathematical career. (Im writing a detailed post
to http://news.lugnet.com/edu/ complete with pictures from todays math
conference--beyond you wildest dreams! Stay tuned.)

Thanks! And no, I don't mind. In fact I think it's cool someone wants to use my
moc as an example :-D
