Great idea!  The way CBS's survivor ended made me mad.  In the words of
Letterman, the winner is the biggest "weasel."  I'm glad I have the
opportunity to help decide who goes and stays.  I'm hoping Mike wins.

Yes, another reason to visit my pathetic website: preliminary voting for LEGO
Survivor has begun!

Be mean-spirited under the guise of anonymity.  Vote someone off the island of
Okhmosk Isaya!  There are 12 castaways in all--not including the host, who can
also be voted off!  It's all in good minifig fun.

http://onedaycnn.freeservers.com to get to my website
http://onedaycnn.freeservers.com/photo3.html to go directly to the LEGO
Survivor info page!

Vote early, and often!  (And while you're at it, why not check out the rest of
my pathetic website?!)

long live Lego,

Thanks!  Yeah, I couldn't stand it either... that Rich won.  Hope you're aware
that while initial voting could very well play into who gets kicked off the
island, it does NOT necessarily mean that the one with the most votes against
him/her will be booted off.

Remember, LEGO Survivor begins full swing in November!

Totally not following you here.

Your initial post says, "vote for who gets kicked off the island." So does
your website.

So what is it we are doing if not voting for who first is ejected? At this
point if you want this to be fun you need to clarify and add a little
structure around things like having dates when voting stops and someone gets
booted, etc.

Larry,

Guess I should have worded it better, but the idea of the preliminary voting
was to get an idea of who people *wanted* off the island.  Translated, it
means that the person(s) with the most votes will *not necessarily* get the
boot.  Ultimately, it will be up to the other *castaways* to trim down the
island's populace to the sole LEGO Survivor.  The polling is just to get an
idea of who people out there are rooting for--and maybe, just maybe, to help
determine the outcome of the game.  Maybe.  :-)

If we factor out the fact that minifigs and the rest of them are basically
plastic (reality check time here...) and can't *really* decide anything at
all, it really boils down to your whim. That's fine. After all. that's what
CLSotW is, Todd's decision for the week (after taking in the input from people
who vote... but it's not an election) is what becomes the site chosen.

Say that, please, on the site.

Personally I find that a lot LESS fun (trying to influence your whim) than
just trying to vote someone off directly, so I probably won't be voting any
more.

9 times out of 10 (or, more recently, probably 19 times out of 20), I just go
with what people vote for.  There were some really obvious ballot stuffing
attempts a few weeks ago which caused one site to go backwards, but it's not
quite correct to say that it's my decision.  Final say, yeah, but I operate it
based extremely heavily on input.  Eventually it'll be 100% on input with live
tallies and stuff.
