| | | | | Gus, Mark and I have spent much of the last week ironing out little bugs in
getting our latest Crate Contraption working. It's now set up at NWBrickCon.
I'll have more pictures soon, but for now here are two:

and

If you'd like to see it in action (live!) come visit the show on Sunday. All
sorts of LEGO models are on display, along with our robots. It's open to the
public from 12 noon to 6pm. No charge. The display is in Federal Way, at "The
Commons" (used to be "SeaTac Mall" until recently) near the 'Target' end of the
mall. Directions are currently posted on the NWBrickCon home page.

Additionally Gus had a cool RC car that he ran in a race. With four wheels it
has two wheel steering (that really IS non-obvious!) and three wheel drive. I'll
let him describe it more. Very nice!

| I just saw this thing live and I must say it was incredibly impressive. I
talked with a gentlemen from SMART for a bit of time, but I forget his name (I
believe it was Mark). Anyway, hats off to you folks, it was a really neat
display. The whole Expo was a lot of fun with many cool things to see. It has
me excited to actually participate in the Con next year. I'm also stoked about
attending my first SMART meeting next month. Good work folks!!

Thanks for coming by to see us! We'll look forward to seeing you again in a few
weeks. (November's meeting is on the 20th, due to Thanksgiving weekend.)
There's a few more pictures of the crate contraption robots at
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=103448. (Most of the second half
of the first page.)
I want to thank Gus and Mark for all their hard work, the many hours they put
into their robots, and all the time that they spent at the event. Thanks!
