My god, I loved those monsters too... My favorite part of that skit was when
something that they didn't expect would happen, ( like the phone ringing)
they would pull their lower lip up over their head.  That image still makes
me smile.   Thank God ( and Jim Henson, may he rest in peace) for the
Muppets.  :-)

And I agree with Julie, below, they are a lot like washcloths with eyes,
draped over a coat hanger or something similar.

I'm an AFOSS/AFOTM too -- especially the weird stuff like those unnamed
alien monsters (two-headed, was it?) that went around going "yeppppp, yep
yep yep yep yep, yep, yep... book...booOOOK...yepppp, yep yep yep yep
yep...cow...COW.........COW...yep, yep, yep, yep...brrr--ingg...brrr-
ingg......phone......yep yep yep yep."

Those creatures are more like handtowels w/eyes. A fun way to wash my kids
faces is to grab a washcloth and transform it into one of those creatures. • Much
less of a struggle when mom is chanting "yep yep"!

It's very tempting to get a satelitte dish. There's a channel, Noggin', • that
carries old Sesame Street shows *and* old Electric Company shows.
Hey You Guyssss!!!!!!

(...) What are you, the Royal Smart Person? ;-) Who was in that one---? I remember Ernie, but not Bert. And I think there were one or two anonymous Muppets. Were Guy Smiley or Hemlock Shemlock part of that skit as well? Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 4-Nov-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
