Interesting that you would call it a 'temper tantrum' without even knowing
me. My whole point was simply to point out that many of us out here on
Lugnet(tm) ;-) are tired of Larry and his 'know it all attitude' and
personal way of always trying to control EVERY SINGLE thread that goes
beyond 4. This is not the first, and I'm sure, not the last that people are
going to get irritated with Larry. I can recall over a dozen instances
where people, on this site, have complained about Larry and his 'policing of
Lugnet.' I also have nothing against the Guild of Bricksmiths(tm). They do
fabulous work, but so does the rest of the Lego(r) enthusiasts. Do I want to
be Larry's 'friend?' I haven't met him, so I can only go by the personality
he created for himself on Lugnet.
Who are you to judge and claim 'disappointment?' I have just as much right
to express my opinion as you do, with or without your consent. I also do
know a lot about implied trademarks versus registered trademarks. It is
generally considered 'polite' to include the (tm) or (r) after names, but
get real, this is a forum. You could go to any of a thousand message boards
and see every trademarked thing under the sun and 95% of them will not have
the (tm) or (r) included. The idea of a forum is to share ideas, not have
them critiqued by an english teacher or spend all day typing 1 post because
you included so many extra key strokes. Besides, most people on Lugnet know
exactly what group is being discussed when they see 'Bricksmiths,' 'The
Guild,' or 'Brick Guild.' So, get over yourself! We all know,
metaphorically speaking, who you are and understand your contributions to
the Lego world.
