Here in Richmond, VA there is a Tuesday Morning store just up the street
from me.  There is also one crosstown that I visit occasionally on my lunch
hour.  I dropped into the "lunch" one the other day and saw that they had a
sign on the door that 3/28-30 marked the final days before the store closed
for cleaning & restocking in preparation for the next Grand Re-Opening on
4/16. I didn't find anything good at that store but it inspired me to visit
the one near my home on Friday night to see if that one had anything decent
left.

The only item that I found worth considering was the Mickey & Minnie Fishin'
Trip Bucket (4178).  I decided to pass though because the price was still a
little steep. So I went home Friday night empty-handed.

Overnight, I decided I'd go ahead and grab a Mickey bucket while it was
there and available and so on Saturday I went back to the store.

To my surprise there were new LEGO sets on the shelf!

They had two of the Shell promotional sets - 2555 Belville Beach set ($9.99)
and 2554 Racing Pit Stop ($6.99).

I already have multiple copies of 2555 because I really like the
medium-green palm tree leaves, flower stems, and three-leaved plant that
comes with the set.  The white dolphin is also pretty neat.

I didn't have 2554 and saw some neat pieces in that set so I grabbed a
couple of those.

While checking out, the employees confirmed that they had in fact just put
those out on Saturday and that they had a lot more LEGO to put out for the
re-opening on 4/16 (I think that's the date).  I didn't bother to press them
for details about further variety of LEGO beyond the two sets I found.  I
figured they probably hadn't paid that much attention to it and I could find
out when the store re-opened.

I don't think this is the only Tuesday Morning where these sets may have
become recently available.  I already noticed several Beach set auctions and
even one 2554-2555 combo on ebay.

Anyway, I know there's a lot of T.M. shoppers out there so I thought I'd
pass along this bit of "news" for y'all to chew on during the next couple of
weeks.  Start saving those nickels and dimes - the 16th will be here before
you know it!

Happy Shopping!

Greg
