I was aware that estate = station wagon. I suppose the other name we use is
just "the back". "The back" is common when describing the cargo area in vans
too. I suppose by cargo area I thought he could have meant those little
ridges some estates have on the roof to stengthen it for loading. I've never
had a station wagon/estate, so I can't claim to be an expert.
