Here's another example of a Lego table in the Lego CD.  I use a LOT of these
types of tables to show the variations in Lego parts/sets.  And it is much
easier to read than just text!

Here is a table of all the Lego windows and door varieties.  Minitalia
windows/doors are also included.

Enjoy!

* - 7 Description items related to this table:

1) LL = Long Ledge (1956-70), SL = Short Ledge (1970-93), CA = Cellulose Acetate
(1956-63), ABS = ABS Plastic (1963-93).

2) The “Solid Stud” windows/doors were produced from 1956-57.  The left and
right solid stud doors had door knobs larger than all other classic door types.
From 1958 onward all classic windows/doors had only “hollow studs”.

3) “No Holes” refers to the one or two small holes between studs on top of
windows/doors.  “No Holes” and “Short Ledge” changes both happened circa 1970,
therefore all “Short Ledge” windows have “No Holes”.  1x1x2 and 1x1x1 windows
only had 1 stud on top, and therefore never had holes.

4) “No Glass” refers to 1x1x1, 1x1x2 and 1x2x1 small windows.  In the 1970’s and
1980’s, many of these small windows were sold without glass in certain sets.
All red and white small windows came with and without glass.  The yellow 1x1x1
windows always had no glass.  The yellow 1x2x1 windows always had glass.  The
yellow 1x1x2 window came with and without glass.  The black 1x1x2 windows always
had no glass.  NOTE: some early “solid stud” windows/doors from 1956 may also
have had no glass.

5) “Full Glass” - The 1x6x2 Shuttered windows had several variations.  Some
variations have glass even behind the two shutter portions of the window.  These
are known as “full glass”.  The two small holes on top of these windows were
located between studs near the outer edges of the window.  The windows without
“full glass” had no glass behind the shutter portion of the window (only glass
behind the window portion), and had the two small holes on top between studs
near the center of the top of the window.  These varieties were available in
both CA and ABS windows.  When the short ledge 1x6x2 shuttered window variety
came into production in 1970, they were all the “full glass” variety.

6) “New Style” refers to Lego 1x2x2 windows which underwent a minor change in
the mold circa 1993.  The angle of the slope of the window ledge changed
slightly.

7) “Minitalia” windows/doors refers to the 13 pane 1x6x3 windows, 12 pane 1x4x3
windows and 1x4x5 doors that were produced only for the Italian market from
1971-77.  These windows/doors were not made of Cellulose Acetate or ABS plastic.
See the chapter on Minitalia for more information.

Finishing the Lego Part/Set History CD.

Hello, Most of you haven't heard from me for a while..... I have been busting my butt trying to finish the Lego CD. I said a year ago I would be done soon... and here I am... still finishing it. The saying "Biting off more than you can chew" is very (...) (18 years ago, 4-Apr-06, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.general)
