I and a couple of others have been contacted with sad news.
From an e-mail from Madchucksinfo@aol.com
hi
my name is chuck senesac , im travis kunce birth father . i am having a
hard time writing this so bare with me . sometime on the the morning of the
23 dec he passed away. the details are of his death are not known . he
passed away in his sleep !
There is more info and a phone number in the e-mail. I didnt find it to be
appropriate to post the number here. He got info to contact us through a
website link travis had given him.
This is indeed news of the most terrible kind and I do hope its not true.
(forgive me if Ive been fooled) Many of us call Travis Kunce friend. He
will be missed. To his family, our thoughts, prayers, and support go out to
you.

This is so sad for everyone. For those who spoke with him regularly through
this community it must be very difficult in this hiliday season. However, it
is good to see that .space remembers Travis and feels the need to share. I
never met him, but respected his MOCs and in his honour someone should take
care of them (at least virtually, so that they dont dissappear from
Brickshelf. I dont know if Brickshelf has any rules how often a page should
be updated or that it can stay online). Maybe some kind of memorial OOC (Our
Own Creation) can be put up on his Brickshelf-page... Just a thought. I know
how much people want to do something to give meaning to something
meaningless. My prayers go out to his friends and family, as do the prayers
of my boyfriend who also frequents the community: Alexander Zwagerman. He
remembers the distinct style of his hovercars and his to-the-point feedback
on .space.
We will remeber you, Travis.
Love, especially now, Sylvi

I actually never knew him (beside his name and his creations), but I want to
send my condolence to his family and friends.
I wanted to suggest something as a continue to Sylvi idea. Maybe on the coming
up brickfest we can dedicate a room or something that will present all of his
LEGO MOCs.

I really dont know what else to say...

A suggestion has been submitted to me to include a missing man formation in
honor of Travis at the BrickFest Flyin, and I am pursuing that idea. Those
interested, please drop me a line.

Travis was going to put quite a bit of work into the BrickFest PDX LDraw image
gallery, presenting many of his fine works rendered beautifully and framed. I
was looking forward to working with him and putting it together. Id like to
continue the idea of the gallery, in his memory.
A couple months ago, he sent me a framed/matted printout of my mobile crane
model, rendered in POV 3.5, and signed it. He didnt ask for anything in return
for it. I hung it up in my room, now I will always treasure the picture he gave
to me.
What a wonderful person Travis was, Im very sad that hes gone now :( Lets not
forget him.

Remember, a person is not truly gone, until they are forgotten. As long as he
continues to be remembered, he is not really gone.
