There might be a few who disagree with me on this, but I think something needs to be done about this. I'm very tired of checking out the BrickShelf recent updates page to see it flooded with these annoying pixelated images. I think this is just as (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jan-02, to lugnet.general)

I agree with you entirely. I check BrickShelf because some MOC's there are not posted to LUGNET... for this morning (9:30am EST), there were 7 avatar pictures/folders. Thats over 25% of the Recent page. There were 5 bionicle things that wern't MOCs (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jan-02, to lugnet.general)

A technical argument against avatars could be made on bandwidth grounds. In fact, this is the argument bioniclezone.com itself gives against hosting avatars there directly.
