The BrickFest™ Team invites the designers and artists of the AFOL community to
submit graphic ideas/artwork for the Official BrickFest 2005 Event Graphic,
which will commemorate the 6th Anniversary of BrickFest in Washington, DC. The
graphic will be used to create the visual identity of the 2005 event. Items such
as, the T-shirt, Banners, Webpage, Commemorative items, Engraved on bricks,
BrickFest minifig stickers and on other related materials.

The Event Graphic should appeal to the broadest spectrum of LEGO fans,
exemplifies the LEGO hobby, but does not use the word LEGO® or infringe on any
other trademarked logo.  Conceptually, the logo should touch upon the LEGO
community and the AFOL. In the past, this has been done by using the minifig.
Bricks have also been used, but a group of bricks can be problematic, as the
outlines of the bricks will not reduce too well.

Submissions are due May 22nd, so start sketching!

If you want to send ideas in advance you are more then welcome to.

Requirements: The design should be relatively simple, and be able to handle
being in color and black and white. Also the design should be able to handle
being sized up or down as needed without a large impact on the graphic (detail
lost).
The final image should be no more than 5 colors (3 colors preferred) and
submitted in an EPS format or 300 dpi raster file (not to exceed 11” X 13”.
Please also submit a black and white version. Submissions should be e-mailed to
info@brickfest.com. Please place in the subject line “BrickFest Event Graphic
Contest”

We will give credit to the artist who submits the winning design on the website
as well as in the event program.

The BrickFest Event Graphic has been selected and as such you can now see what
the event T-shirt will look like.  This logo will also be on various other
BrickFest items.

We received 6 entries for the BrickFest Graphic. I’d like to thank Michael
Campbell, Derek Schin, Joe Meno, Pierre Normandin, and Calvin Spinka for
submitting proposals.
