I bow before you!
That's very beautiful. I haven't tried my hand in Oriental MOCs but I like and
appreciate them.
This is a great castle, I'd like to see your next (5 tier) tower and gate...
Also, is there an interior?

Thanks for the kind words. Following tradition I would have
to bow back before you.
As to your question, as a matter of fact there is an
interior to the castle which I confess is currently empty
space but with a few supporting columns. One of the items on
the list to improve is to make the tiers modular so that I can
actually lift each off to view successive lower layers but
that's again version 2. The current castle topmost layer does
come off easily but I built that at the last minute. Will need
to re-engineer to do that for all the layers.
Also, did not know about the test area for the test link
I sent. Thanks for the tip.

Finally another Ninja theme MOC.....I have been working on mine for a
year....I am ver impressed....lol
I am a fan of the Osaka castle I saw in a travel magazine ....I would love
to know of any historical links that have pictures of the castle you modeld
or of others.....
Your Castle is similar in design to what I have been working on...but your
execution of the sloped roof design is much better than mine...My design
seems to be a conglomeration of shinto and Chinese design....not
historically accurate; but I like it anyway.
My fortess has 4 levels....I didn't know it was a 3 or 5
scale...oops...gotta change that.
I have torn mine apart dozens of times trying to make a modular design....I
got caught up trying to design an interior...I finally have a tatame sliding
door design that I am happy with using plates and 1x2x1 thin wall
sections....the halls are narrow...but I am working on that...Trying to
maintain symmetry is a challenge... I have switched to a combination of
slopes and plates mounted on hinges to add texture to the roof on all 4
sides. The other problem I have is integrating stairs to acess each level.
I am so happy that I am no longer alone in the "ninja" theme...
there is a Ninja theme link at Baylug that has amazing "practice mat"
designs for all 3 Ninja theme factions...
I have to finally buy a SONY mavica or some other Digital cam that works w/
my little web box to Post pictures....

As for links I found the best way to get to the links is go to the
search engine http://www.google.com then search for "japanese castles"
And pay attention to the links which end in .jp. Those are the best.
Lots of pics from pro and amateur photographers from Japan of castles.

Not a commonly known fact. But an even number of tiers is considered bad
luck hence all central donjons (towers) are 3 or 5 tiers.

Looks like you have a better handle on the "interiors" than I do.
BTW, the outside of a donjon might be 3 tiers but the inside might have
4 levels. It is not a one tier/one level situation.

structure.
