Sorry for getting your hopes up.
What I mean above is that I jumped the gun. Yesterday, I misunderstood
Tim Courtney and Dan Boger in what they wrote here:

I was proceeding under the general impression that it would occur, although
Larry wrote me privately last night just to make sure that I wasn't going to do
anything major on my end before the group reached a consensus.

The consensus on the LDraw-tech list seems to be that they would like to
keep the list public but obscure. I'm not on the list, but I've been following
along in the public archives.
