Re: How to Rotate LPub Instruction Images with ROTSTEP (a crash course for fellow Mac users)

(...) Hi, Willy. I don't think I have the ability to edit LDraw.org. Please feel free to add or link to this tutorial yourself, however. Although this may remain a handy reference, I want to point out that Mac users now have a much nicer option. (...) (15 years ago, 10-Oct-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

Re: MPD Wizard now available for Mac

(...) This doesn't help with rendering. (...) This does, big time. I can use newer versions of official parts that may have better primitive usage. LDView helps with this a little bit better than L3P but I find a self contained MPD more convenient. (15 years ago, 18-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

Re: MPD Wizard now available for Mac

(...) Considering Bricksmith's seamless support for submodels, I didn't initially see the need for MPD Wizard (my own (URL) Mac MPD Utility> is wonkier and long since obsolete). However, as Allen hints, I realize MPD Wizard does provide a few (...) (15 years ago, 18-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

Re: Still no zip file for 2008-01?

(...) On further investigation, it is now clear why I did this. All three files are obsolete and not used by any official parts and as primitives/subparts should not be directly referenced in models. (...) Thanks for pointing this out. I don't understand how those files got to become zero-length, but these will be restored in the next parts update (which is under development at present). Chris Dee (LDraw Parts Library Admin) (15 years ago, 27-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

Re: Printing LPub instructions with Lulu.com

(...) Yes, the binding is stapled. Lulu offers a few differing binding options (stapled, plastic coil, paperback-like "perfect" binding, etc.), but stapled is the only option available for a minimal number of pages (22, in this case). I was worried (...) (15 years ago, 13-Mar-09, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.mac, lugnet.inst, lugnet.publish, FTX)

Re: Printing LPub instructions with Lulu.com

(...) Very cool--I love it! To be honest, it would never have occurred to me to use Lulu; I got as far as "I should try Kinkos," and that's where I sort of stalled. I have to say that the end results look amazingly professional and high-quality. (...) (15 years ago, 13-Mar-09, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.mac, lugnet.inst, lugnet.publish, FTX)

Re: Where can I download Mac Brick CAD?

(...) Awesome, thanks Allen! Unfortunately my iBook still runs 10.2, so that puts Bricksmith out of reach. I have it on every other Mac I own though, and let me tell you it is by far my favorite LDraw editor. Keep up the great work! Isaac (15 years ago, 4-Feb-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

Re: Bricksmith 2.1: A Step Up

(...) Hi Nathan, Thanks so much for the compliments. I really enjoy hearing from people having fun with my software. And we would certainly never want anyone feeling under-served by their Mac! Allen (15 years ago, 3-Feb-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

Where can I download Mac Brick CAD?

Does anybody know where I can download Mac Brick CAD, or have a copy they can send to me? I wanted to install it on an older Mac that won't run Bricksmith, but it seems the author's website has been taken offline. Thanks! Isaac Nelson (15 years ago, 3-Feb-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, lugnet.cad)

Re: Bricksmith 2.1: A Step Up

Hey Allen, Great news! I look forward to giving this version a try. Before Bricksmith I always used to feel slightly under serviced by my Mac ; ) God Bless, Nathan (URL) (15 years ago, 27-Jan-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

Re: Still no zip file for 2008-01?

(...) That seems better than what I get. I had the loading parts window never go away, and when I exited and restarted Bricksmith, it just shows that window for a little bit and then crashes.
