I would be happy to make the program GPL or public domain or give it to
ldraw.org. How would this happen?. The souece code is "C" (I also ahve a perl
version). To use it you have to compile it (I am not familiar with packaging
executables)

Is there any interest in this

One interesting issue is that the program is based on the 16x32 baseplate
authored by James Jessiman) would the program be a deriviative work or the
output?. (I developed the program by taking lines from the DAT file and using
them as templates for the program.)

By the way this is not a hugh program, its only 218 lines including comments

Wow, I can't speak for everyone, but I'd love to get my hands on that. Could be
a real good program, simple way to generate the kind of baseplates you need. You
never know, you could turn that little program into a real nice little parts
generator, build any part you ever want.  I'd love a look at that, personally.

What did you build it under, what program (Visual C++, GCC, ...)?
