This is what I am using to model string. It's essentially a twisted 4 sided
shape. I probably should have done it using 6 sides instead. I put two of
these back to back with the grey pattern matching up, then replicated to get
the length needed.
LMK what you think. (there are too many steps in it, it hasn't been cleaned
up very well yet.) In no way would I recommend this as an official anything,
I just thought it was interesting.
