Here's the file for LDDP 2.0 beta 4:
http://www.pobursky.com/common/temp/LDDP20b4.zip

- Add the the ability to move/rotate lines based on grid settings (Thanks to
Philo for the icons)
- Reorganized many UI menus and the options dialog
- Error fixing should now be fixed (again)
- Other bug fixes the nature of which escape me at the moment

In progress:
- Templates
- Line marking (e.g. an icon in the margin that signifies some criteria like
lines of the same color, etc...)
- External programs UI overhaul
- Plugin architecture upgrade

- Add the the ability to move/rotate lines based on grid settings
A welcome addition to LDDP!

Now I find Mirror/Rotations a bit misleading:
- Mirroring of type 1 lines is done centered on subfile origin
- Mirroring of other line types and rotation of all element types is done
centered on main file origin.

(Thanks to
Philo for the icons)
I welcome suggestions to improve readability!

- Other bug fixes the nature of which escape me at the moment
A minor one: the behaviour of the "modified" status (* in tab name) is erratic,
and it is still possible to lose a modified file when closing LDDP (save warning
issued only sometimes)

- Line marking (e.g. an icon in the margin that signifies some criteria like
lines of the same color, etc...)
Could this lead to non-contiguous line selections? That would be really helpful!

Since there is question about how LDDP should mirror, what is the expected
behavior?  If my method is unexpected then how should the process be changed?

Can you give me more specifics?  I added this since the last beta so it might
not work as intended.

More on this one as well.  I thought I killed this bug but apparently it either
works on my machine and not yours or you're doing something that I'm not.

Probably not but don't discount the possibility.

Without adding options, it would be best to have all transformations operations
centered on main file origin.

An extension would be to allow transformations centered on on user defined point
(cf. MLCad).

And to go further, transformations centered on subfile origin (this is more
controversial, since a type 2..5, or multiple selection doesn't have a center
properly defined). Maybe allow this only on type 1.

Maybe indeed it is machine (or OS? I use Windows2k) dependant. Anyway here is
what I see:
- Open a file, make a modification. A * appear on tab name. If you try to close
LDDP, a warning is issued.
- Move the cursor (with mouse click or with keyboard arrow). The * disappear,
and if you close LDDP it shuts down without warning (and without saving, you
loose your modification).

A wish: it would be nice if there was somewhere a visual grid size reminder (in
status bar?)

Looks like it is _something_ on my W2k machine. I tried an another computer with
XP and it works fine

...or maybe it is something wrong in the registry: on the XP machine I get a
nice grid toolbar that I don't see on the W2k one! (though there is no menu
entry in the View>Toolbar menu).

I'll try to clean that and keep you in touch.

Wow! Nice feature. Haven't tested it yet but this is definitely going to be very
useful. I also updated my betatest page.
