What:
The .vignette curators are pleased to announce the Second LUGNET Halloween Vignette Contest.
To win, just build the best Halloween-themed vignette!
When:
The contest will begin on Wednesday, September 20th, 2006 and end on Friday, October 27th, 2006. Contest winners will be announced on October 31st (Halloween)!!
Prizes:
A Prize will be awarded for the best Halloween vignette. The prize will be a new, MISB set (MSRP: ~$10 US) *. Like last year, the prize will remain a mystery. (The curators of .vignette may elect to announce the prize before the end of the contest and/or provide a “Second Place” prize, if the total number of entries are 20 or more.)
* The curators reserve the right to determine the contest prize(s) based on the total number of entries.
Contest Rules:

| | There will be a limit of 2 contest entries per person.

| | Entries must be made via posts to http://news.lugnet.com/build/vignette/, not to any other website, forum, or newsgroup. Posts must be made by the actual builder, not by another person, so please post only your own MOCs. Also, please title your posts as “Halloween Vig Contest 2 Entry - (Name of Vignette)” so we’ll be sure to see it.

| | Your vignette must have a maximum base-size of 8x8 studs - This means that the bottom layer of bricks must be no larger than 8x8 studs. There will be no height limitation. Parts can extend beyond the base, but not by more than 4 studs.

| | Images must be hosted on Brickshelf or other websites, not on LUGNET.
|
| | 5.
| | Images should be limited to an 800 x 600 resolution. (Anything larger, and your entry will be disqualified.)
|
| | 6.
| | A maximum of 4 pics per entry will be allowed. (If you show more than 4 images, your entry will be disqualified.)
|
| | 7.
| | Judging will be based on the following:
|
- Halloween Factor: (Make it exemplify the spirit of Halloween)
- Presentation Factor: (Let your vignette stand out with fitting colors/pieces)
- Coolness Factor: (Think of an original, cool idea!)
8.
| | Entries cannot have been posted on the Internet prior to September 20th, 2006.

| | Sorry, no CAD models or photo-edited entries will be accepted. Please build your MOCs with real bricks.

| | 10.
| | There will be a limit of (1) prize per person.
|
| | 11.
| | Prize winners must provide their mailing addresses to the curators via email.
|
| | 12.
| | The contest is open to EVERYONE, and we will pay for shipping the prizes to the winners within the United States. If the winner lives outside of the USA, they may have to pay the difference between the actual shipping cost and the cost to ship the prize within the USA.

| | The contest will be judged by the .vignette curators, who are again ineligible in this contest. Therefore, you have a much better chance of winning! :)
