I wanted to make another Star Wars vig based on a powerful moment from Revenge
of the Sith. The emotional, climactic duel between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader over
the roiling lava of Mustafar seemed like a fun idea.

During construction, I showed the vig to a couple friends, and they suggested I
light the lava up. Not having any Lego electronics/lightbulbs, I went the cheap
route and stuck a flashlight under it. The lava casts pretty neat glow on the
figs.

Very cool! The glowing lava looks awesome! I didn’t know there were 8x8
plates in trans orange...hmm...must pick some up...
The posing of the Obi and Ani are good too, though Obi’s stupid grin clashes a
bit. Ah well, at least it’s better than fleshtones!

I don’t know if there are 8x8 plates in trans orange.. I used regular ol red
pieces in a kind of a frame shape so there was a hole in the bottom for light to
go through.
Yeah Obi’s grin kind of annoys me too but like you say the consolation is that
he’s not fleshtone.
