Hi

Well, after the new X-pods came out and combined with the selection at
Pick-A-Brick at the local store, I've been thinking of what to do with all the
various dark purple, Light Purple, Purple, Dark Magenta family of bricks
available. (Well - whatever those colors are at least.)

Introducing the Purple People Eater! (ta da)
Standing about 18 - 20 inches tall, and made 80% of only "purple" family brick.

Some Cool features:
The single eye, which can track either right or left. Made from 3X3 Radar
dishes, and almost completes the "globe eyeball". (love the hair!)

The Jaws can open and close, and the minifigs "eaten" will drop into the X-pod
stomachs below, (as long as the lids are off). Also got a pretty good set of
teeth in there...

A fun "3 chambered" stomach, with minifigs in various state of decomposing.

Held in by the 2x2 plate inside...

Whimsically, he's supposed to be able to fly...

Other small details, the arms can move and are posable, 4 fingered with suction
cup ends, he's got yet another "morsel" soon to be devoured.
Not quite pigeon-toed, but finally a use for the light yellow slopes...

Happy Monday!
Cheers!

SNIPPED You sicken me. I never thought that anything more weird than the MPP or Soren's Belville fig of death could ever crop up, but it seems I've been proved wrong. This is like a Barney that has some funny mutation thing going. Gross. In other (...) (19 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.org.us.sealug, lugnet.build.mecha)

Darn you! (shakes fist) That song is now firmly lodged in my head as well. Awesome MOC! The stomach with variously digested bodies is my favorite little detail. Bruce (19 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.org.us.sealug, FTX)

Are you insane? You're totally out of your mind! Blasphemy! This isn't a lego MOC! These colors are not right. Whatever happened to yellow, red and blue? My eyes are burning and my head is spinning from such creativity and originality. Great work. (...) (19 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.org.us.sealug, FTX)

I absolutely love it. I find it well creepy to look at -- but I still cannot take my eyes off it. I love the single eye and all the detail. Great work! Brent (URL) (19 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.org.us.sealug, FTX)
