Question-- Would it be bad form to see about setting up a table in the store
to let locals know about our LUG while the Gortons Fisherman is there? We
certainly dont want to take away at all that which Mr. Kenney has done,
just thought it might help expand our club base a bit maybe.

If this were a LEGO fan-related event, what youve suggested would be fine...
but in this case I dont think it would be a good idea.
The models are part of a tour called Meet the Gortons Fisherman, which is not
LEGO-centric. (Folks can have their picture taken with the real -- human --
Gortons Fisherman, get a free Fisherman toy, and see the LEGO model.) As far
as I know, my models will just be sitting casually on tabletops amongst their
other happenings.
I dont know that Gortons would appreciate additional LEGO fanfare, since it
would put emphasis on LEGO, distracting from their main message (eat Gortons
food). :)
