Presenting Edo Castle!

My first Micro Scale creation, created for the LEAHI display at the Hawaii FLL
on December 2, 2006.

It is based on a Doyusha 1/700 scale model kit that I built back in 1999
(during my Lego dark ages).

I haven’t had this much fun building something since my Japanese Restaurant
(I guess I have a thing for Japanese architecture).

I had to mix old dark gray and new dark bluish gray to complete the castle and
ramparts due to a lack of pieces in the proper colors. It is sectional to make it
easier to transport (one 32x32 plate and one 32x16 plate). Total build time was
about 10 hours.

Thanks to Leonard Hoffman for his 2.6 diameter sphere tree idea.

Thank you,
Patrick Yrizarry

That’s great! I love micro and I have a thing for Japanese architecture too. Your combination of the two is superb.

Nice work!!

Those trees are brilliant! The colour and design both work so well, good work! I’ve never been a fan of japanese castles so I can’t comment fairly on the rest, but the overall effect is good.

Thanks for sharing and God Bless,

Nathan
