Twas The MOC Before Christmas

When what on my wandering tracks should appear,
But a mini-scale coach, and eight tiny traindeer,

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.
More rapid than diesels his engines they came!
While they whistled, he shouted and called them by name:

“Now, Zephyr! now, Memphis! now, Empire and Bullet!
On, Comet! on, Chieftain! on, Daylight and Comet!
To the end of the line! Slip the brake and highball!
Now chug away! chug away! chug away all!”

Merry Christmas!

Hello everybody!

It’s a great pleasure to announce the recently oublished 200th MINI model of my Star Wars Mini modelling project. :-)

When I started building mini models in the late 2002, I never thought that it would be so many one day. But I still love it and so the project will go on. :-)

The 200th MINI Model is something special. It’s probably the most popular starship from the entire Star Wars saga - Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon!

There are so many versions of this particular ship that it took a while until I figured out a new unique way that had not been used before. :-)

The design is pretty tricky as it features a one-plate-high studs inversion using hook pieces. The end balls of the hook decently slips into the stud notches. :-)

As usually all images and instructions can be found on BrickShelf or directly on deckdesigns.de

That’s it for now. Thanks for stepping by and see you soon.

Christopher

You might say that it looks better that way:

Indeed I might 8?)

If you need to extend it, you can just butt plates end to end along the top without joining them and it would probably look OK.

For this length, I think it might look better with 1x10 plate for the top beam, and dropping the 1x4 plates on the bottom completely, leaving the bridge deck to form the bottom beam. - But then I wouldn’t be able to reuse the design for a longer bridge.

I’ll give it a try.

Play well,

Jacob
