Two new creations, MP-2 Visage II and the Long Range Mecha Transport Vehicle (LRMTV) —Geordan Hankinson
Hey all I present the successor to the Visage, the Visage II! Please pardon the almost 2 week delay between my promise of pictures, and the follow through, I must admit though the model is much improved since two weeks ago though.=^) The main (...)      (...) Hey, it looks well worth the wait. (...) I tried removable armor once, just once, before deciding it was not for me. I tend to think that it is one of the cooler 'look-at' styles, but man, it is a real pain to get it that way. (...) Wow, four (...) (21 years ago, 18-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Thanks Ryan! (...) It really is.         Re: Two new creations, MP-2 Visage II and the Long Range Mecha Transport Vehicle (LRMTV) —Joel Kuester
(...) It can be tempting to add all sorts of frills and fringe to a design, and I think your design stands out because you didn't. Makes it look more realistic IMHO. I hope you take this as a compliment: something about the shapes you used and the (...) (21 years ago, 18-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Hey joel! Glad to see you back and building! :-) (...) thanks! (...) That means nothing to me since I'm not into transformers but I'll take it as a compliment anyway :-) Thanks Joel -Geordan- (...) (21 years ago, 19-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Man... It was just getting boring in build.mecha, and BAM! Here you come to save the day, Geordo... ;-) About the mecha: The studlessness (my new word), the removable armour, the weapons, the articulation... WOW WOW WOW WOW! I love this mecha! The (...)      (...) Actually, correction... YOU saved the day with your gorgeous MTP. ;^) (...) Thanks Mladen! (...) Thanks, I originally had a ammo clip instead of a drum but the drum looked so much cooler :P But I think with more tinkering, you could make those (...)         Re: Two new creations, MP-2 Visage II and the Long Range Mecha Transport Vehicle (LRMTV) —Jason Coronado
dang, this mecha just makes me want to delve into the "studless" look even more. too bad tiles are so expensive at bricklink. very nice form, especially how the v-shape of the torso really accents the bulkiness of the legs and armor. i also like how (...)          Re: Two new creations, MP-2 Visage II and the Long Range Mecha Transport Vehicle (LRMTV) —Geordan Hankinson
(...) Yeah I like the studless look, but it does get annoying sometimes, espeicially since using tiles makes your mecha all the more chunkier, whether you want it or not. too bad tiles are so expensive at bricklink. very nice form, (...)      Nice. I think the features were well worth the two-month wait. The color scheme is very nice, all the right ones in the right places. Take care Soren (21 years ago, 18-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Two new creations, MP-2 Visage II and the Long Range Mecha Transport Vehicle (LRMTV) —Geordan Hankinson
Thanks Soren! (...) Thanks, I've been wanting to try this scheme for a while on a largish mecha but didn't have enough tan to make it look decent until now, but even still, there is a very skimpy amount of tan on this mecha. all the right ones in (...)      Thanks Chris! (...) They work fine when the mecha is standing normally, but as soon as you try to make an interesting pose with them they lose it and collapse. (...) Yes yes yes!!!!!!      Hey there G! I actually saw this before you posted it (I think it was friday...) That's a great mecha! The arms came out pretty well. How mobile are they? And I especially like what you did to the chest. The little panels make it look great! That (...) (21 years ago, 19-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Thanks Tim, just as mobile as when you saw them (which isn't very mobile, the shoulders and arms only move on two axis' combined) And I especially like what you did to the chest.      (...) Excellent work, m'man! I love that incredibly smooth look, and the colour scheme is subtle and effective. Even the head is almost devoid of studs, an incredible accomplishment on something that size. (...) I'm sorry to hear this-- you're the (...) (21 years ago, 19-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Hey Stuart, glad to see you back in business as well ;-) (...) Thanks! (...) Yeah I am in a way too, cuz there are so many possibilities with removable armour, but I don't want to go through all the frustrations again. (...) Thanks again Stuart! (...)         Re: Two new creations, MP-2 Visage II and the Long Range Mecha Transport Vehicle (LRMTV) —Eric Sophie
G-Miest! I'm always in awe of how you make those Frame's and then layer the Armour all around! I enjoy seeing how you make Mecha. You have really got the removeable Armour technique down. The feet are interesting, as is the head. One other thing I (...) (21 years ago, 19-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Two new creations, MP-2 Visage II and the Long Range Mecha Transport Vehicle (LRMTV) —Geordan Hankinson
Thanks Eric! (...) yeah the head is not at all similar to the old head, but I couldn't make the head the same way, without making the torso similar to the old visage, which I didn't want to do. The new head looks good I think though. (...) Thanks (...) (21 years ago, 19-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: MP-2 Visage II and the LRMTV —Tony Knaak
Geordan! Awww man! The armor! The frame! Great work. I must say the use of the minifig legs as joints is very 'ol skool'! That is a great idea. I am partial to studless designs and this takes the cake! How many showing studs, 8 maybe? Pure (...) (21 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: MP-2 Visage II and the LRMTV —Geordan Hankinson

Yeah, if I had enough tiles I definitely woulda made it studless too, but I used up pretty much everything on the mecha. :^P Still look great. Kinda reminds me of a (...)
