The design speaks of utility. I suppose the simple colour scheme also adds to the utilitarian feel of it. I find I think of a wasp more than a ranger - perhaps "stinger" would haev been a good name for this mech. I note it also has a jump pack (or what looks like one), furthar adding to the concept of a wasp or bee... I am definately pleased to see the cockpit there. I have not quite got to adding cockpits into a mecha yet. The crazed - trigger happy face on the pilot is quite scary though.
