Here is the Stormwalker.

Stormwalker

I thought of a heavy assult mech when I started building. As I knew it would become a bit bigger I had to chose light gray/blue color scheme (because of brick amount).

Some facts:
  • Its average hight is about 45cm (which is 1.5ft I think?)
  • There are 11 screw gears for the articulation (I only own 12)
  • It took four weeks from the first idea (I guess round 50hrs of real building time)

For the legs I had liked the chicken style but I ran out of screws. Well, articulation works anyway.
It’s just a bit more wobbly.

Hope you like it
Marco

(...) Hey Marco, looks pretty cool. I'm not much of a mech person, but it seems a little "unfinished"? For the size of the chassis, and considering it's got a dual cockpit, the "body" part seems very undersize. Mostly it just seems to be missing (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

THis mech looks very sweet. It appears to have some Neumann-esque inspiration in it as well, with the big worm gear legs. I must agree with Kyle though, the torso is slightly small, but if you moved the rotary cannon on the right arm onto the (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) Yeah! I'll say I like it. Cool, here goes my commentary: looking "mechwarrior style" battle mech beefy weapons pretty darn cool Style cockpit with folding cowling! color scheme is good with yellow interior highights -Feet are too small -Body (...) (...) Well dang! This so cool, you don't even know!..., and YOU made it! I gotta say, this is really very cool. Seeing this, I'm telling you, you are a great builder! Wowie. Look at the joint tech. Check out the coverings. Your use of slopes and (...) (19 years ago, 31-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) snip Welcome (belated) to .mecha. I really like the dual cockpit, with the side cladding and the yellow internal details. I think the pic you chose for your post is the best view of this machine. My suggestion would be to leave the torso (...) (19 years ago, 1-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Wow! Now this is a beautiful mech. The Classic Space colors don't work for me( though I understand why you did it), but the overall design is one of the best I've seen in quite awhile. I even see some very familiar joint tech going on that I've used (...) (19 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Thanks to everybody who replied on (URL) Stormwalker>. It gave a strong motivation to me getting such constructive critics. They brought me to rethink the design which resulted in some modifications. The overall result I'd like to share. So this is (...) (19 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX) !
