Kind of a streamliner —Andreas Weissenburg
Hello, I would like to show my second engine, which I have designed. It was aimed to look a little bit oldfashioned. (URL) It does not follow any real model, since (to be honest) I do not have any idea about trains, except the fact, that they are (...)      (...) Hi Andreas, This is beautiful. It is so retro-futuristic. I'm imagining that it is a fuel-cell powered passenger engine from the near future. I love your earlier train and this one is ever better. You're really tempting me back to the world of (...) (18 years ago, 7-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Kind of a streamliner —Andreas Weissenburg
Hi Tim, (...) Yes, must be something like that. It is only silently humming and recently it made a new record of fuel-cell powered engines with amazing 86.7 mph. (...) Thanks, but this is the well known "The grass is greener on the..."-effect ;-) I (...) (18 years ago, 7-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) Fuel-cell powered... come on. Can't you tell that the 2x2 radar dish with the pneumatic-T in it is where the fuel core is for the fusion reactor :) (URL) cool model. Tim hit the nail on the head. It is very retro-futuristic. Chris (18 years ago, 14-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Wow, thats impressive looking... the lines and the colours work very well together, nicely played, and spotlit. Janey "Red Brick" (18 years ago, 7-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

--SNIP-- (...) You know you're meant to actually spotlight the post when you write "spotlit" ;) Tim (18 years ago, 7-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) Yes, I was just a tad bit slow on the draw... problem fixed, wink! Janey "Sometimes slow to my word, Red Brick" (18 years ago, 7-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Kind of a streamliner —Jeffery MacEachern
(...) That's great! I'm not a trains builder, so I can't pass an official judgement on it, but I can say that I think that it's amazing! I love how the roof scoops in on the back. Good job all around! Jeffery MacEachern (4 URLs) (18 years ago, 7-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Kind of a streamliner —Andreas Weissenburg
Hi! (...) Thank you, that is enough reputation as I am concerned :-) Andreas (Uuups, I should not post something like this in the trains-group) (18 years ago, 7-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Kind of a streamliner —George Haberberger
(...) Andreas, I'm not big into trains (aside from the traditional Christmas time around the tree one) but I really like the steamlining on this, I'd even call it art deco like. Thanks, George (18 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
