While perusing Eric Harshbargers site, I noticed his Twenty-One Mural
http://www.ericharshbarger.org/lego/twentyone.html
And of course, all my close friends know what a fan of math I am!!!
.... add to that, the need to fill a blank wall, the desire to have a Lego
corkboard for memos above my computer, the need to use up some of my lime and
orange bricks that were stockpiling as well as the need for a display shelf
(reasons for this will be obvious later) .... I decided that the thievery of
ideas, would be the perfect answer....
So I blatantly stole his idea (thank Eric)!
This was historically the fastest project I have ever built, from start (getting
errrr stealing the idea) to finish (mounting it on the wall) the time span was
less than 24 hours.
My finished mural is half the size of his (112 studs by 112 studs), and aside
from having a shelf across the top, 19 (my favourite number) of the 21 squares,
have words that hold some importance to me.
Anyhow, I thought I would share, and publicly thank Eric for such a cool idea.

Very well done, Janey. If you dont like the maths, stay out of the classroom ;)
Unfortunately, its a little hard to read a couple of the panels, would you be
able to translate for us?
Thanks

Sure... The photo isnt the best, due to the fact that I have lousy indoor
lighting (part vampire, I guess) and once it was mounted, I wasnt about to take
it down to photograph it outside.
Anyhow from the top left to bottom right, order of appearance... enlightening
(on the yellow block), patience (orange), justice (red), us (pearl grey), goal
(purple), art (burnt orange), time (old light grey), sex (dark red), if (old
dark grey), do (tan), is (brown), action (medium blue), success (lime), choice
(white), love (dark blue), fear (new dark grey), freedom (green), direction
(black) and finally expression (blue)...
Wow, it almost took me longer to type that out than it did to build it!

Thanks Eric,
The whole 21 concept is pretty cool. As for the colours, I did spend a bit of
time laying them out, colour wheel fashion, but with so many interior squares I
did have to "mix it up a little". Also great way to use up those colours I'm
having problems getting rid of... like LIME!!!
