‘ve updated the Moonbase site with some instructions on how to make a motorized moonbase vehicle, that runs on LEGO race track. Click the pic above for more info.

And here is a video of the thing in action. Ignore the whooshing windy sound, my camera was right next to a fan (thanks for the edited clip, Ley, but for some reason you took out the audio *and* the video ;-).

Build one! Let me know what you think! Moonbase!

(...) WHOOO...OOOSH!!! :) Wow, how cool is that? Great use of the racer tracks and the engine/wheel design. It does go a little too fast for a bus. Maybe some gear reduction would help slow it down. Either that, or we should call it an "MTV" (Moon (...) (19 years ago, 26-Sep-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

A neat MOC, somehting about it gives off the 'natural but slightly differentness'I associate with good space MOCs. Very good work. God Bless, Nathan Visit my brickshelf gallery: (URL) (pic=link) (19 years ago, 27-Sep-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Very nice! I liked this before, and even better now that I can see how you did it. I'll have to build this for myself very soon (if for no other reason than to see how well the chain works over two 8t gears). (...) I think automated lunar (...) (19 years ago, 27-Sep-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) I saw it yesterday and build it asap ;) Great 4WD vehicle! I've only replaced the two "3647 - Technic Gear 8 Tooth" with "4265c - Technic Bush 1/2 Smooth" and used the white rubber band. That makes less noise, let the bus drives more smoothly (...) (19 years ago, 29-Sep-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)
