in a previous post, i outlined
some details of parlugments most recent show, winterlude on ice.
another moc created specifically for this layout features a part of the staple
diet of the crazy canuck during the wintertime. in this cold-crazed country we
must find heat and energy where we can. with such an abundance of our national
symbol, the beaver, we find it necessary to assist in wildlife management. to
this effect, we have discovered that if you chop off their tails, deep-fry them,
sprinkle them with cinnamon sugar and then spritz them with a bit of fresh lemon
juice, you have a very unusual delicacy we call beavertails TM.
because we wanted to highlight some features of ottawa, i designed this very
recognizable ottawa landmark.
kitchen staff are busy pumping out the beavertails throughout the year, but are
no busier than during winterlude. a cup of hot chocolate makes the perfect
accompaniment.
this winter festival continues until feb. 20th so if youre in the
area be sure to visit the canal and
winterludes other
festivities.
enjoy and dont worry
about the beavers, they dont feel a thing - its too cold!
