Well, I’ve finally finished and photographed the mecha foreshadowed by this image.

The legs got longer, the arms rebuilt from scratch, and the first head I made was ditched in favour of the current one (the original took a minifig, so I added a few bits and turned it into this.)

So, without further ado here it is.

I’m rather pleased with it’s level of articulation and it’s posablility, although the stability is a tad touchy, and the upper arm armour is a masterpiece in NVS(1) construction. I’m also not quite satisfied with the hip armour (which is also NVS). I’ll hopefully be able to refine them in future, but those rotation click hinges are a bugger to stick regular bricks to.

Anyway, please enjoy and PLMKWYT.

Cheers, Allister

(...) Very, very cool. I thought this was one of the best things I've seen on Brickshelf in a long time. Lots of smooth, cool shapes, and super articulation-- simply fantastic! And you can't go wrong with red and black! Lots of hidden details, great (...) (21 years ago, 20-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) And what an IT it is! Nicely done Allister! Using the Zonic Strike parts works in your favor as well, as I haven't been able to work those into a design yet. I love the feet most of all. (...) Hmmm...have you tried...oh, wait. I can't reveal (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
