Can you believe that it's been an entire year? This is the final official
BricksWest posting before I head out to Carlsbad tomorrow morning!

I will attempt to head off as many possible last minute questions in this
post as I can.

By now all pre-registered attendees should have received their registration
confirmation. If you believe that you should be registered but have not seen
your confirmation, DON'T PANIC! You are probably just fine. Remember that
attendees who registered in a group should look to their group contact
(attendee #1) for confirmation details. If you do have any concerns, please
feel free to contact the organizers via e-mail at
registration@brickswest.com (since different organizers are traveling at
different times, I cannot guarantee that your message will be answered
immediately, or at all if beyond our ability due to travel). All
registration goodies will be available for pick-up at the Windmill venue.

Attendees planning to display models at LEGOLAND will need to stop by the
Windmill first to pick up their name badge...your BricksWest name badge is
your guarantee of admittance through the guard gate to access the Pavilion
venue.

For those having difficulty finding the Windmill, here is their web site
(map and directions available):
http://www.windmillbanquet.com/

For those having trouble finding LEGOLAND California, here is their information:
http://www.lego.com/eng/legoland/california/default.asp?page=parkinfo

Some final updates have been made to the official event web site
(http://www.brickswest.com), including some very minor schedule tweeks, the
addition of as many session descriptions as were available, and the posting
of the official MOC Card files for models to be displayed in either the
Windmill venue or at the Grand Pavilion at LEGOLAND California
(http://www.brickswest.com/moccard.html).

If you are a minor attendee, or are bringing your children to the event,
please be certain that you download, fill out, print and deliver a
BRICKSWEST 2003: PARENT/GUARDIAN MEDICAL CONSENT FORM AND LIABILITY WAIVER
(http://www.brickswest.com/medical.html). For emergency purposes, we are
requiring one form be delivered for each and every child under age 18 who
will be on site with us at BricksWest.

I'd like to take this opportunity to publicly thank each and every one of
the BricksWest volunteer organizers who have put so much time and thought
into creating this event for the community; the volunteer presenters who
have taken their own time to develop interesting and exciting sessions to
share their LEGO passion with their friends; the attendees coming from all
around the world to join us for four days of fun and play in Carlsbad; and
all of you in the LEGO community, from our friends in the LEGO Company to
the fan on the street...thank you for helping to support this
community-building event for a second year. I hope BricksWest proves worthy
of your support!

Matt
