This is a little project that I have been putting spare minutes into. It has
independant front and rear steering. The steering (at the momment) is controlled
by two sticks. The stick is pushed right or left to get +/- 90-deg of wheel
turning. Pushing both sticks in the same direction gets a tight turning radius.
Pushing the sticks in opposite directions gets a 'crabbing' effect.
The chasis uses znap pcs for rigidity. Technic axles/gears are used for the
steering and wheel supports. I am just beginning to integrate system components
for a body platform. One of the side objectives is to make use of as many dross
components as possible. The 12-tooth bevel gears are not dross per-se, but the
source of them (8009 R2D2) is plentiful (and Lego was kind enough to put 10 in
each set). The model currently uses 14 of the 12-tooth bevel gears.
