racers set 4593 come with wrong rear wheels

I just assembled the two racers which come in 4593. I'm having trouble fitting
the wheel center (partref 6014 "wheel wide") into the rear wheel holder. It
seens that the wheel doesn't have the notches needed to lock into the wheel
holder. I compared it with set 4583 which supposedly uses the same wheels (also
partref 6014) yet those wheels have notches. I suspect my 4593 came with the
wrong wheels. Anyone else has a similar problem? I wonder if the problem is
just with my particular set or whether it is wider spread.
Any idea why these two parts share the same part number even though they
obviously are different parts?

| (...) This seems to be a common problem, though I am not sure how widespread it is. My 4593 came as you described, with two notched wheels and two unnotched wheels. I called Lego and am awaiting replacement any day now. Henry (23 years ago, 31-Dec-01, to lugnet.year.2002)
