yeah, I meant black. At the time I was so excited about all the brown
that my fingers typed brown automatically.. :)
From the parts perspective, the set is also a great source of large
black plates,, as well as those 1x4x2 fences (6 black, 2 grey) ... if I
had the money I'd have 3 or 4 more of these things.. :)
I like all the hidden stuff.. that was one of the fun parts of putting
together this set. (I won't mention them here, since I think that would
spoil some of the fun for those who haven't built it yet.) I was
somewhat surprised, however, to find that there were no "exploding"
parts, as found in the other Western buildings (bank, sheriff's lockup)
.. I'll have to add that to my Fort :)
Comparing this set to Gold City Junction, I was happy to see that the
stickers only go on flags and 1xn blue bricks. Flags need decoration,
obviously, and who doesn't have lots of extra blue bricks? Sacrificing
two 1x6 blue bricks to a multi-piece sticker wasn't too painful. The
stickers in Gold City Junction were annoying. The General Store sticker
wasn't bad, since it was on 1x6 red bricks, but the Bank sticker was
horrible, since it is partically on a rare piece (red fabuland car
piece)
