  Re: Mecha Legs

i'd have to agree with mladen on this one- the whole point of lego is creativity. i'd take the same approach i do with TLC models- build a copy first to familiarize yourself with any new pieces and their useage, then proceed to invent your own uses.   Re: Mecha Legs

I would reconsider if he was the only person to ask me, but I get 10 e-mails each day from people asking me how they love my designs and want to use them in their own. Most of the messages I reply to with a yes, but this time no, this is my model, (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.underground)

  Re: Mecha Legs

(...) Mladen, please reconsider. One of the best ways for our models to improve is to promote cross-pollenation of ideas. As long as credit to you is duely given, can you see any possible disadvantage to letting others use your ideas? Cheers, - (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.underground)

  Re: Mecha Legs

(...) them... (...) part legs. I been building a Rock Raider mech, and a scaled down version of those legs would work great. If you don't mind, I'd like to use a pair of legs like that. Keep up the good work! Rob (1) I've been on a vacation. (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.underground)

  New Pieces??

I thought the rock raiders wrench was new for '99 but lately I saw it in a fabuland set. Did they just hide this piece for 20 years and not use it in any sets??? NICK :^A (24 years ago, 16-Jul-00, to lugnet.underground)

Re: Cut off the dying vine

(...) I agree that Rock Raiders sucks as a theme the way Lego has done it. I do however think that the mini-fig pack is the best one since the early 90s as all figs can be used as generic "grunts" as I wrote here: (URL) that I have changed this to (...)   Re: Cut off the dying vine

I kind of agree with you. I wish they would replace this series with actual mechs. I also keep hoping to see an ancient greece topic, something based Jason and the Argonauts ot Clash of the Titans themes. Something instead of just plain mini-figs (...)   Re: Ice Maonster???

I don't have the Ultimate Lego Book, but a white (actually clear) ice monster for Arctic crossed my mind more than once. (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.underground)

  Ice Maonster???

In the Ultimate Lego Book it has a picture of a set they never made. It had a white rock monster & rock raiders chief. It was just an old, unused version of the granite grinder, but they recently made chief, so who knows, Ice Monster may be next? (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.underground)
